And on my goodness - I never even thought about this before.
I thought most of my stories would be fiction but now that I go through them, I see that there are many real life stories there too.
Also many stories have elements of real life in them also - little events that really happened, embedded in the stories. Like aunt Agatha in Animal Stories / Tired All the Time. I changed her name but she really existed - my fatherīs aunt who was a tiny thin lady whose snoring made you realize what an earthquake sounds like.
The ones that are real life stories are:
- Animal Stories / Planting Flowers - really happened to Marianne, my coworker.
(- Animal Stories / Funny Squirrel is based on my coworker Marianneīs story of a squirrel who stole their laundry and ran away with in through their garden)
- Animal Stories / Hero Dog is a real story too.
- Family and Kids / How to Do a Tarzan - a real story from my fatherīs childhood.
- Happiness / Symbol for Happiness is based on reality - namely I love dandelions and made a poem of them being like a thousand little suns one day. Then I thought it might turn into a story nicely. But the story itself is pure fiction.
- Love and Friends / Short Love Story This is a true story of my great grandparents. He really did steal her passport to stop her from migrating to America.
- Love and Friends / Tired Eyes of a Lonely Child This is a true story of my husbandīs aunt. She really did see child in her dreams and drove around for months with her friend to find him/her - and then did find Minna in the end.
- Love and Friends / Kissing Brigde is a real story of me and my husband. This happened in Rome in spring 2009.
- Love and Friends / But I Feel Good is a real life story too.
Iīd better make it clearer in the future which stories are real life stories, it seems. Thank you for reminding me!
