Are your stories mainly fiction?

by Dennis

Hi;

I have enjoyed your website and I am pretty sure other people must also. I am curious though--I am not a writer so I am not really sure--are your stories mainly fiction and if so, how does one know if they are or not?. Thanks and I hope you continue with your site!

Dennis.

Thank you for this site.

Dear Leena,

Thank you for this site.

It has inspired a large family of mine. I am a father of 5, and have other relatives stay with us at home, a School Principal and a lecturer. I have 4 boys and one daughter, one a college student and the rest study at different levels in different schools.

I am from Qatar. Every day at lunch, I will prepare an inspirational story and tell the family. You cannot believe how this actioned changed positively many attitudes at home. Your site happened to be my favourite.

The older members of the family record what I tell them to be used in their schools or lectures, and the little ones enjoy the story that inspire them and broadens their horizons. My little ones are becoming responsible (you know today's kids attitude). This way proved to be a very valuable tool to make them listen to house rules and apply it. I am very pleased with what you have done. On behalf of every member of my family, I thank you very very much and hope you will continue writing and adding these inspiring stories.

Very best to you,

Rashid

Questions – that we do not have answers for

by Mark A Moment
(India)

Whenever I get time out from work, me and my wife Reyney (my first and the only one, by god’s grace) along with my dearest son (Taksh) catch up the latest movie without fail. This time when we returned back home my wife asked me a simple question, Annoo (that’s how she calls me, my numerological name) do u believe in fairies. Wow what a question at 01.00 am in the night. The movie we saw was Sarkar Raj, so there was no influence of the movie at all. She asked the same question again -- my answer was an instant “NO”. Hey, my dear friends - married and the ones in live-in you know whenever you say no to your wives/fiancés, what happens -- here comes the argument. She asked me “why don’t you believe in fairies” - I said I cannot see them so I do not believe in them.

A sudden pause and here comes the MASTER question -- “do you believe in god”. My answer -- this time was an instant “YES”. She asked me now how do u believe in god and not in fairies as you cannot see both of them. As usual the conversations can never end without or a tricky answer (which we always get into with our wives), but this is a genuine answer I believe in.

I turned towards my 3 year old son Taksh who was lying in his bed deep asleep, this is my god I said – he in this materialistic world does not know what is good and what is bad, he who knows to impart love and be happy always, he who keeps smiling every day and brings smile and make others happy is my god. My parents are my gods who have sacrificed everything for me; they have worked hard to see that I get the best without expecting anything in return, and their unconditional love still remains the same.

But on the other hand we are selfish, living in this materialistic world, always cribbing for more, impatient and jealous of others, hardly helping people in need. We give importance for money more than humans, have we ever tried to get a smile on someone’s face or help them without expecting anything in return. We surely would have done it at least once and enjoyed it. Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the goodness of all humanity by our actions.

A long pause on Reyney’s face, she knew what I meant and didn’t take the conversation forward.

YES U CAN SEE GOD!!!

Recently my pretty wife asked me another question (we keep playing “Kaun Banega Best Pati”) her question was – What do you think, have you ever met anyone prettier than me, well guys can we say anything here - Yes we can. I said there is one pretty lady whom I like and love more than you, sorry dear I should I have told this to you earlier; I could see her face drop. Not waiting for more and getting murdered, I said it’s my dearest Mom who is prettier than you. Yes- this is the only answer you can get away with.

Cautionary Note: Please do not try this at home.

Do not mess with your wives if you don’t have a genuine answer

Hi Leena, I like your site

Hi Leena, I like your site. I'm going to have to bookmark it - I'm at a stage on my site where things are starting to seem possible, but I have so much to do! What I want to do is read some stories!! I read your story about elephants - Ever since I can remember, elephants have been my favorite animal, a slight glitch when I was 10 when all I seemed to get for presents were elephant toys! I wish you success with your site and your life.

Iain

What a wonderful site you have provided

Hello Leena, What a wonderful site you have provided - did I manifest it? I would like to use the story of the dandelion - symbol for happiness - on Sunday as an introduction to taking the offering during our church service. Of course, your site will be given credit. With thanks for putting it all together. Well done. What a find.
