I had to be sorry for my bosses mistakes

by Chathoth
(India)

I am heading a school and my immediate boss who had no knowledge of the school administration took over recently and messed up the working of all schools under our banner and expected credit for all his actions which were totally wrong.

To save his face I used to correct his mistakes and save him from embarrassement. This went on for three years and since I do his work, many times I had to say sorry on his behalf to his committee members.

Not so long ago I decided to be assertive and started telling him I had had enough of him making a mess of things and took charge of most of the work which required careful analysis to respond.

Today I am happy - I no longer need not say I am sorry for his mistakes and I am in total control of the work situaton.
